TH10 Upgrade Order 2026 -- What to Upgrade First at Town Hall 10

TH10 introduces Inferno Towers -- the most important defensive upgrade of the early game. Two Infernos on single mode in a competent base stop most TH10 and TH9 war attacks outright. The upgrade priority at TH10 is clear: max heroes, build and upgrade both Infernos immediately, then continue laboratory work on the LaLoon and GoHo troop chain. Everything else is secondary.
Priority 1: Heroes to Level 40
Barbarian King and Archer Queen both cap at level 40 at TH10. Continue hero leveling from TH9 -- if you arrived at TH10 with heroes below 25, catching up is the most important task. A level 40 Archer Queen runs Queen Walk LaLoon, the most consistently effective three-star attack at TH10. Dark Elixir farming (GoHo raids, standard DE farming bases as targets) should run daily. Never let a hero sit idle between upgrades -- the 7-day downtime per hero level is the main bottleneck for TH10 progress.
Priority 2: Both Infernos to Max
Build both Inferno Towers immediately upon reaching TH10 and start upgrading them to max level (level 5 at TH10). Both on single mode is the war meta -- they kill heroes and high-HP troops most efficiently at single mode. Infernos at max level with good placement stop most TH9 three-star attempts and make TH10-on-TH10 war much harder for attackers. This is the upgrade that transforms your war base from a TH9 base with extra stuff to a genuine TH10 defensive system.
Priority 3: Lab -- Lava Hound, Balloon, and Witches
Laboratory priority at TH10: Lava Hound (if not maxed from TH9), Balloon (improves LaLoon significantly), Witch (powers Witch Slap attacks), Hog Rider (continues GoHo improvements), and Miner (enables Miner hybrid attacks). X-Bows upgrade to level 6 at TH10 -- prioritize these alongside Infernos for ground defense. The three Air Defenses (one new at TH10) should be upgraded in parallel. Walls: upgrade to level 10 using Gold filler. Aim for full level 10 walls before moving to TH11.
