Complete TH10 ZapQuake LaLoon guide for 2026. Destroying two Air Defenses with Lightning and Earthquake spells, then LaLoon cleanup for easy three-star air attacks at Town Hall 10.
ZapQuake LaLoon at TH10 uses Lightning and Earthquake Spells to destroy two Air Defenses before the Lava Hound and Balloons deploy, leaving only one AD to counter the full air wave. With two of three ADs eliminated by spells, the single surviving Lava Hound can tank the remaining AD while Balloons destroy the entire base uncontested. This is the most spell-heavy LaLoon variant but also the most forgiving -- even mediocre Balloon deployment produces a three-star when only one AD is operational.
Standard TH10 ZapQuake LaLoon (240 housing): 1 Lava Hound (30), 30 to 35 Balloons (60 to 70), filler Minions (remaining ~140). Spells: 6 Lightning Spells + 2 Earthquake Spells (destroys 2 ADs), 1 Rage Spell. Six Lightning Spells divided as three per AD with one Earthquake each destroys both. With only one spell slot remaining, one Rage on the main Balloon wave is the standard. Clan Castle: Balloons + Minions. The heavy Balloon count (30 to 35) compensates for the absence of a Lava Hound setup -- with only one Hound and one AD remaining, Balloons need to be plentiful enough to destroy all defenses without taking sustained multi-AD fire.
Step 1 -- Target selection: Choose the two ADs closest to the base edge or most accessible from above. Avoid targeting ADs deep in the base core -- Lightning accuracy drops against targets surrounded by buildings. Step 2 -- First AD destruction: Drop 3 Lightning Spells + 1 Earthquake Spell on AD #1. Confirm destroyed. Step 3 -- Second AD destruction: Drop 3 Lightning Spells + 1 Earthquake Spell on AD #2. Confirm destroyed. Step 4 -- Air Sweeper check: Verify Sweeper direction. Approach from behind the Sweeper (deploy from the side the Sweeper faces away from). Step 5 -- Lava Hound: Deploy single Hound toward the remaining third AD. Step 6 -- Balloon wave: When Hound reaches the remaining AD, deploy all Balloons in a wide line. With only one AD operational, Balloons sweep the base with minimal resistance. Step 7 -- Rage Spell: Drop on the main Balloon cluster over the inner ring defenses.
Six Lightning Spells must split accurately between two ADs -- three each. If two Lightning Spells hit one AD and four hit the other, one AD survives and the entire strategy collapses. Practice in Friendly Challenges before using ZapQuake LaLoon in Clan War. The wider the two ADs are spaced, the easier accurate targeting becomes.

How do you destroy two Air Defenses with spells at TH10?
Three Lightning Spells plus one Earthquake Spell per AD. Six Lightning Spells total plus two Earthquake Spells destroys both target ADs before the Lava Hound deploys.
Why does ZapQuake LaLoon use so many Balloons compared to other LaLoon variants?
With only one AD remaining and no Queen Walk outer-ring clearing, Balloons face more intact outer defenses. Higher Balloon count compensates for the outer defenses they must survive without Hound tank support.
What is the main risk in ZapQuake LaLoon at TH10?
Lightning Spell inaccuracy. If one Lightning misses the target AD, the AD survives and the entire strategy fails -- you have wasted six spell slots and the remaining army cannot carry the attack.
Is ZapQuake LaLoon better or worse than Queen Walk LaLoon at TH10?
Better when ADs are close to the base edge (easy Lightning targets) and your Archer Queen is below level 25. Worse when ADs are deep in the base (hard Lightning targets) or your AQ is strong enough to run a reliable Queen Walk.
