TH15 introduces the Monolith -- the most powerful defense in the game at the time of its release. Percentage-based damage kills any troop at any level equally, making the Monolith a mandatory first-build at TH15. Alongside the Monolith, TH15 increases hero caps substantially (90 for BK and AQ), meaning the hero level gap between a TH14 at max and a fresh TH15 is a significant attack power deficit that requires months of DE farming to close.
Priority 1: Monolith -- Build and Level Immediately
Build the Monolith the day you reach TH15. At level 1 it already deals percentage-based damage and is immediately one of the two strongest defenses on your base. Higher Monolith levels increase the percentage damage per tick and extend its reach. Place it one ring outside your Town Hall in the primary attack approach corridor -- this placement transforms the Monolith from a strong defense into the defining gate of your war base. Upgrade Monolith to level 5 within the first two months of TH15.
Priority 2: Heroes to 90
TH15 increases BK and AQ caps to 90, Warden to 65, and RC to 40. The hero gap is the most impactful factor in attack power at TH15 -- a level 90 AQ runs Queen Charge Root Rider combinations that a level 70 AQ cannot execute reliably. Farm DE aggressively throughout TH15. Keep all four heroes upgrading in rotation, never leaving DE idle in storage when a hero could be leveling. Target 90/90/65/40 as the TH15 hero completion benchmark. This alone accounts for the majority of TH15 timeline.
Priority 3: Lab, Scattershots, and Pet Levels
Lab priorities at TH15: Root Rider continues to max (level 18+ at TH15 -- significantly faster burrowing), Super Witch max (higher Skeleton counts per Witch), Dragon Rider (enables Dragon Rider air attacks), Bat Spell (improves Super Bat Blizzard alternative). Both Scattershots upgrade to level 8 at TH15. Pet levels continue -- each Pet has higher level caps at TH15. Walls upgrade to level 15 as filler.
