Best TH12 Hybrid Base 2026 -- Scattershot Resource Defense

TH12 introduces Scattershots and a third Inferno, and all three of these high-value defenses naturally contribute to both war and farming defense. A TH12 hybrid base uses Scattershots to cover the approach corridors to resource compartments while simultaneously covering war attack corridors. The Triple Inferno setup in the core protects Dark Elixir while also burning war heroes.

Scattershots Covering Resource and War Corridors

The two Scattershots at TH12 should be positioned so their splash coverage overlaps with both the primary war attack corridors and the resource compartment approach paths. Since Scattershots fire in a fixed direction, choose placements where the natural firing arc covers either the most-raided resource compartment or the most-used war approach -- ideally both. Cross-fire coverage from opposite base quadrants accomplishes this naturally.

Triple Inferno Dark Elixir Guard

All three Infernos on single mode guard the Dark Elixir Storage in the core. In a TH12 hybrid layout, DE sits between two Infernos, with the third Inferno covering the approach corridor. A farming attack attempting a Queen Walk on DE must pass through at least two single-mode Inferno beams -- the same setup that defends war stars. The Royal Champion should sit adjacent to the DE compartment to intercept late-entry farming raids.

Resource Ring Structure

Place Gold and Elixir Storages in the second and third compartment rings, distributed across all four quadrants rather than clustered on one side. Distribution forces farming raids to spend time clearing multiple compartments, making percent-damage attacks less efficient. Four-quadrant distribution also aligns with the war base principle of spreading high-value targets to force funneling.
