The Monolith at TH15 is the definitive air defense structure because its percentage-based damage applies equally to Dragon Riders regardless of their HP scaling. No amount of boosting makes a Dragon Rider immune to Monolith damage. A TH15 anti-air base positions the Monolith in the primary Dragon Rider approach corridor and backs it with Scattershot cross-fire and four-quadrant AD coverage to create the most comprehensive anti-air defense in the game at this level.

Monolith as the Primary Anti-Air Defense

Place the Monolith in the compartment Dragon Rider attacks must pass through to reach the Town Hall. Dragon Riders entering this compartment take percentage damage immediately -- 10 to 15% HP per tick at max level. A full Dragon Rider stack entering the Monolith zone at standard approach speed loses enough HP that two or three Air Defenses firing simultaneously can eliminate the remaining stack before it reaches the TH. The Monolith also counters EDrag chain zap -- percentage damage fires independently of the chain effect, meaning each EDrag still takes full Monolith damage even while chaining.

Scattershot Air Corridor Cross-Fire

Both Scattershots positioned on the two diagonal approach angles create coverage that complements the Monolith's primary corridor. A Dragon Rider attack that attempts to approach from a non-Monolith corridor flies through Scattershot cross-fire. Between the Monolith covering the primary corridor and Scattershots covering the two diagonal corridors, Dragon Rider attacks face high-DPS coverage from at least one premium structure regardless of approach angle.

Four-Quadrant Air Defense Final Layer

Maintain four-quadrant AD spread as the final air defense layer beyond Monolith and Scattershot coverage. Any Dragon Rider that survives the Monolith and Scattershot approach faces all four ADs as it enters the Town Hall compartment zone. Four-quadrant spread prevents ZapQuake from disabling more than one AD before the main attack deploys, ensuring at least three ADs participate in the final defense phase.
