Town Hall 10 introduces two Inferno Towers -- the most significant single-target and multi-target defense upgrade in the game up to this point. A multi-mode Inferno shreds groups of troops; a single-mode Inferno kills high-HP units that would otherwise tank through the base. How you configure and position these two towers is the defining decision in TH10 war base design.

Inferno Tower Mode: The Key Decision

Each Inferno Tower can be set to Single Mode (high DPS on one target, melts heroes and high-HP troops) or Multi Mode (moderate DPS spread across multiple targets, effective against Hog Riders and Valkyries). For war, the recommended configuration is:

• One Inferno on Single Mode -- positioned to engage the attacking Queen or King as they approach the core
• One Inferno on Multi Mode -- positioned to cover the most common Hog Rider or Valkyrie pathing corridors

Both on the same mode reduces your coverage. Both on single-mode leaves you vulnerable to mass low-HP troop attacks. The mixed configuration handles the widest range of attack strategies.

Most Common TH10 Attack Strategies

• GoHo (Golems + Hog Riders) -- Golems tank while Hog Riders cycle through; the dominant TH10 3-star strategy
• LaLoon (Lava Hounds + Balloons) -- air attack targeting Air Defense spacing
• Mass Dragon -- simpler air army still effective at TH10 against improperly spaced Air Defenses
• Queen Walk + Hog Riders -- beginning to appear at TH10 with the Archer Queen at higher levels

What Makes a Strong TH10 War Base

• X-Bows at ground and air settings -- switch one X-Bow to air mode to add additional anti-air coverage
• Air Defenses in diamond formation -- spread across the base to prevent Lava Hound + Balloon funneling
• Double Giant Bombs on GoHo corridors -- Hog Riders will always cycle toward the center; place DGBs where the path narrows
• Clan Castle centered -- CC troops that engage GoHo or LaLoon armies deep in the base deal much more damage than CC troops triggered on the perimeter
