TH17 Super Dragon Guide 2026 -- Maximum Fireball Area Attack

TH17 Super Dragon reaches the highest fireball damage per second of any TH level. Ten to eleven Super Dragons in a tight cluster at 360 housing, with Rage and max-level Grand Warden air mode ability, generates a fireball barrage that destroys most TH17 base sections in seconds. The Ricochet Cannon and Monolith are irrelevant. Only the Multi-Archer Tower requires approach angle adjustment. TH17 Super Dragon is the fastest three-star air attack when the approach angle is correct and Freeze spells are applied to Multi-Archer Tower and Eagle Artillery at the right moment.

Army Composition and Spells

Standard TH17 Super Dragon swarm (360 housing): 10 to 11 Super Dragons (super boost, 200 to 220 housing), 5 Balloons (10 -- cleanup), filler Minions (remaining ~130). Spells: 3 Lightning + 1 Earthquake (destroy one AD), 2 Rage, 2 Freeze, 1 Haste. Clan Castle: Dragon or Balloon. Warden on air mode. RC Electro Owl ground support at max level: max Electro Owl chains to maximum targets per lightning bolt, providing the highest adjacent air defense damage support of any TH level.

Step-by-Step Execution

Step 1 -- Lightning pre-attack: Destroy one AD with 3 Lightning + 1 Earthquake. Step 2 -- Multi-Archer Tower routing: Approach from the edge where Multi-Archer Tower is to the side of the Super Dragon cluster rather than directly ahead. Step 3 -- Max RC Electro Owl: Deploy RC adjacent to the Super Dragon approach edge. Max Electro Owl chains to maximum air defense targets simultaneously as RC walks the perimeter. Step 4 -- Super Dragon tight cluster: Drop all 10 to 11 Super Dragons in a tight cluster (3 to 4 tiles apart). Max-level Super Dragon fireball radius at TH17 covers approximately 3 tiles -- overlapping clusters generate the maximum total splash coverage per firing cycle. Step 5 -- Warden max air mode: Behind the cluster. Activate max-level Warden ability on Multi-Archer Tower concentrated burst or Eagle Artillery burst. Max ability at TH17 provides the longest invincibility window available. Step 6 -- First Rage: Outer ring engagement. Step 7 -- First Freeze: Multi-Archer Tower concentrated burst on the lead Super Dragon. Step 8 -- Second Rage: Inner ring / Town Hall approach. Second Freeze: Eagle Artillery burst. Step 9 -- Balloon cleanup with Haste.

Max Warden Ability at TH17

Max-level Grand Warden ability at TH17 provides the longest invincibility window in the game for the surrounding air force. Using this ability at the exact moment when Eagle Artillery and Multi-Archer Tower fire simultaneously on the Super Dragon cluster prevents the most dangerous damage burst of the entire attack, giving the cluster time to destroy both defenses before the ability expires.
