TH10 farming is still a Dark Elixir race — both heroes need constant upgrades and DE Drills now produce twice as fast with two of them. The best TH10 farming bases keep both Drills and the DE Storage behind your Inferno Towers, sacrificing Gold and Elixir at the perimeter.
Town Hall 10 farming is TH9 farming with higher stakes. You're still upgrading the Archer Queen, you've started on Barbarian King, and now you have two Dark Elixir Drills producing simultaneously. The base design logic carries over from TH9 — protect DE above everything — but the new Inferno Towers give you a meaningful tool to actually do it.
Two things shift the farming equation at TH10. First, you get a second DE Drill — and two exposed Drills bleed thousands of DE per hour to passing raiders. Second, the Inferno Tower is the most effective defense at protecting a core at this level. A single-mode Inferno melts the Queen before she can snipe your DE Storage; a multi-mode Inferno shreds the Hog Riders that cycle through the inner ring.
Most TH10 players make the mistake of putting Infernos near the edge of the base to "protect" them. Place them in the core instead, where they actually guard what matters.
Both Drills should be inside your second wall layer — not outside the main base, not on the perimeter. An outer Drill is a free 3,000+ DE for any player who sends a few Giants into your base. Inside the second ring, reaching a Drill means the attacker has already fought through your outer defenses, your CC troops, and your Archer Queen. At that point they've usually spent too much army to take it cleanly.
At TH10, experienced farmers use a low-cost Queen Charge: send the Archer Queen with a few Giants and Healers to walk the perimeter and hit outside storages. A Queen walking your outer ring can collect Gold, Elixir, and sometimes an exposed Drill without ever needing Wall Breakers. Your counter is making sure the path between your outer buildings and your Drills is blocked by walls — the Queen shouldn't be able to walk from an outer storage directly to a Drill without hitting a wall.
For a farming base, one Inferno on single mode near the DE Storage kills any hero that approaches it. One Inferno on multi mode near the center handles Hog Riders and Valkyries cycling through your inner ring. This is different from the war configuration — in farming, single-mode matters more because the Queen walk is the primary threat, not mass troop attacks.
