Best TH14 Anti-Air Base 2026 -- Electro Owl and Dragon Rider Counter

TH14 introduces the Electro Owl Pet, which gives attacking air troops a powerful chain-lightning companion. The Electro Owl targets nearby defenses with chain lightning, making air attacks significantly more effective at stripping outer ring defenses before Dragon Rider armies enter. Anti-air design at TH14 separates Air Defenses into all four quadrants to minimize how many the Electro Owl can chain between in a single attack phase.

Countering the Electro Owl with AD Quadrant Separation

The Electro Owl fires chain lightning that bounces between nearby defenses. Four Air Defenses in four separate quadrants -- each at second-ring depth in their respective corner -- minimizes how many ADs the Owl chain can reach simultaneously. An Electro Owl accompanying a Dragon Rider push from the 9 o'clock side reaches the westmost AD first; the other three ADs are too far away for the chain to bounce between efficiently. Four-quadrant separation limits the Owl to one AD per attack phase rather than two or three.

Scattershot Cross-Fire Against Dragon Rider

Dragon Rider attacks at TH14 use the Electro Owl to strip outer defenses before the main Dragon push deploys. Position both Scattershots to cover the two outer-edge approach corridors Dragon Riders use after the Owl strips outer defenses. Cross-fire Scattershots punish the Dragon Rider advance while they are still in open territory between the outer ring and the second ring -- before they reach the Town Hall area.

Air Mine Grid for Post-Battle Balloon Cleanup

Dragon Rider attacks often include a small Balloon cleanup wave that targets remaining defenses after the Dragon Riders themselves are spent. Place a grid of Seeking Air Mines and Air Bombs around the inner ring specifically targeting the angles cleanup Balloons approach from -- typically the base corners and the side opposite the main Dragon push. This cleanup layer ends attacks before they can clear the final few outer defenses needed for the third star.
