Best TH17 Anti-Air Base 2026 -- Maximum Air Defense Coverage

At TH17, every premium defense contributes to anti-air coverage. The Monolith, Multi-Archer Tower, Ricochet Cannon (which fires at air troops too), and both Scattershots can all be oriented to cover air approach corridors. A dedicated TH17 anti-air base stacks all five premium defenses on the primary Dragon Rider approach corridor and backs every other approach angle with maximum-density Air Mine and Air Bomb coverage.

All Five Premium Defenses on Air Corridors

Position the five premium defenses to create two separate anti-air gauntlets. Primary gauntlet (on the most common Dragon Rider approach): Multi-Archer Tower at entry, Monolith two-thirds down the corridor. Secondary gauntlet (on the second most common approach): Ricochet Cannon at entry (it fires on air troops too), both Scattershots covering the midpoint from flanking positions. Any Dragon Rider attack that chooses either corridor faces a two or three defense sequence before reaching the Town Hall.

Ricochet Cannon Against Air Troop Clusters

The Ricochet Cannon fires a bouncing projectile that chains between nearby targets -- air troops or ground troops. Dragon Rider stacks approaching in formation take chain damage on every bounce. Position the Ricochet Cannon on the approach angle Dragon Riders use when attempting to avoid the Monolith primary corridor. Chain damage reduces the Dragon Rider stack count before they reach inner defenses, complementing the Scattershot splash that fires simultaneously on the same corridor.

Air Mine Grid for Seasonal Adaptation

Rotate your Air Mine grid each war season based on replay data. Dragon Rider attackers adapt their approach angle based on which corridor had fewer defenses in previous wars. Moving Seeking Air Mines and Air Bombs to new positions each season prevents attackers from reliably predicting Air Mine kill zones, maintaining burst damage effectiveness against both Dragon Rider and LaLoon attack combinations.
