Best TH9 Anti-2 Star Base 2026 -- Stop Enemy War Stars

At TH9, the second war star is everything. Attackers running GoWiPe or GoHo can usually three-star weak layouts, but a dedicated anti-2 star design makes them burn through troops just to reach the Town Hall. Concede the outer buildings -- protect the core.

Compartment Count Is the Foundation

An effective TH9 anti-2 star base uses seven or more distinct compartments between the outer wall and the Town Hall. Each wall layer forces attackers to funnel and spend Wall Breakers, costing time and housing space. Wizards get bogged down clearing room after room while hero abilities expire. Place your X-Bows centrally on ground mode -- they shred Wall Breaker funnels before troops ever reach the main chambers.

X-Bow Placement to Break Funnels

X-Bows on opposite sides of the core create a kill zone on the two most likely attack corridors -- typically 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock. Mortars adjacent to the X-Bows handle splash on Goblin or Archer funnels. The Archer Queen belongs in a corner compartment with an Air Defense and a Giant Bomb cluster nearby to punish any Queen Walk attempt before it strips the outer ring.

Bury the Town Hall Three Layers Deep

Bury the Town Hall three compartments deep so attackers must break six walls and clear two full defensive chambers before reaching it. Surround the TH chamber with Bombs and Spring Traps targeting the most common GoHo Hog approach. A Seeking Air Mine positioned above the TH punishes stray Lava Hound cleanup. This single design principle saves more war stars than any individual defense placement.
