TH16 Super Witch Blizzard must manage three new TH16 defensive threats simultaneously: the Ricochet Cannon (chain damage on clustered troops -- the Skeleton swarm is a perfect Ricochet Cannon target), the Multi-Archer Tower (concentrated multi-arrow fire on Super Witches), and the Monolith (HP reduction beam). The Blizzard placement at TH16 must account for all three, targeting the inner ring zone that avoids immediate Ricochet Cannon chain range, stays outside the Monolith initial beam fire radius, and positions Super Witches away from the Multi-Archer Tower concentrated fire angle.
Standard TH16 Super Witch Blizzard (340 housing): 10 to 11 Super Witches (80 to 88 housing), 2 Golems (60), Wall Breakers (6), filler. Spells: 1 Blizzard, 2 Rage, 3 Freeze (one for Ricochet Cannon, one for Monolith, one for Multi-Archer Tower or Eagle Artillery), 1 Skeleton Spell. Clan Castle: Super Witch. Three Freeze Spells instead of two is the TH16 Super Witch Blizzard adaptation -- TH16 has three new defenses that all require Freeze counter, and the extra Freeze slot prevents having to choose which one to counter reactively.
Step 1 -- Analyze the three new TH16 defenses: Locate Ricochet Cannon, Multi-Archer Tower, and Monolith on the base layout. The optimal Blizzard zone is the inner ring area farthest from Ricochet Cannon bounce range while adjacent to Monolith outer radius. Step 2 -- Four-hero pre-distraction: Deploy all four heroes to draw fire before the Blizzard. RC Electro Owl chain lightning fires on Monolith and adjacent defenses. Step 3 -- Blizzard drop: On the identified safe inner ring zone. Aim for the zone with the highest density of Infernos and Eagle Artillery but outside Ricochet Cannon immediate bounce range. Step 4 -- Rage immediately on landing. Frosty Warden follows Golem push. Step 5 -- First Freeze: On Ricochet Cannon as soon as the Super Witch Skeleton swarm is within its chain range. This is the highest-priority first Freeze at TH16 -- Ricochet Cannon chain damage on Skeletons is devastating. Step 6 -- Second Freeze: On Monolith when Super Witches approach within beam range. Step 7 -- Third Freeze: On Multi-Archer Tower when it concentrates fire on the Super Witch cluster, or on Eagle Artillery burst. Step 8 -- Skeleton Spell on Town Hall approach. Warden ability saved for Eagle Artillery burst if not already used.
The Ricochet Cannon is a near-perfect counter to large Skeleton swarms -- each bounce hits a different Skeleton in the cluster, dealing rapid damage to the entire swarm simultaneously. Freeze the Ricochet Cannon the moment the Skeleton swarm reaches its chain bounce range. A single 5-second Freeze gives enough time for the Skeleton cluster to destroy 2 to 3 adjacent defenses before Ricochet Cannon fire resumes.
